Industrial Magnetic Water Conditioners MWC5, 6 and 7 (No power source required)
The MWC5 consists of two modules which can be bolted together. They cater for pipe diameters from 20mm up to a maximum of 59mm OD (bolted), 80mm OD (unbolted).
Each module contains 8 Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB) magnets. The magnets are set in pairs of alternating polarity. An example of cost saving can be seen below: How It Works HYDRO ION is housed in a stainless steel body to protect itself from atmospheric corrosion. Unlike other typical magnetic water treatment devices, it has an in-built catalyser, which not only enhances the treatment process but also protects the magnet from electrical and electronic smog. The water has a high level of energy, which reduces the PH value and increases the concentration of CO2 which increases the level of carbonic acid. As per the laboratory test it has been found that the magnetic treatment allows the carbon dioxide (CO2) to remain dissolved in the water. With the increased solubility of CO2, Ph is lowered, which also accelerates the de-scaling , the end product of which is argonite - a soft hydrated form of calcite obtained through its increased hydration. It is now maintained in a ‘colloidal’ suspension (microscopic solution) ready to be mechanically flushed from the attached surface without sticking to the inside of the pipes to the hot water heater, instead its beneficial effect stays in the drinking water. The micro-fine minerals are prevented from crystallizing into a rock hard form by isolating the scale from the calcite on the inside of water pipes and tubes. Cost Saving Energy saved: Scale in pipes reduces the performance of heat transfer, resulting in loss of energy and extra cost. Application Areas Chilling Water - (Ref: See drawing of water cooling plant fitted with Hydroion) Here the water is cooled through a refrigeration system; this water could be used for cooling the oil of Hydraulic presses, or cooling the pipes in a heat treatment plant, or cooling welding machines. The scale that occurs on the inside of the pipe reduces the heat transfer efficiency and therefore the cost of the extra energy required for the frequent running of the pump. A rule of thumb on the reduction of heat-transfer efficiency can be seen on the chart below: The most practiced system to avoid scaling inside pipes is to treat the water by Ion-Exchange where normal salts have to be changed on regular basis. The disadvantages of such a system are: • It discharges water which pollutes the environment • The plant has to be continuously monitored • Routine maintenance for replenishing the salts • The pipes can corrode over the years from sodium deposits • Costly maintenance We provide a non-chemical solution to this problem. Another application AIR CONDITIONING UNITS WITH A CONDENSER – Hydro Ion is a excellent device to keep the inside of the water cooled condenser pipes scale free, which keeps the air-conditioning system trouble free and saves energy. The thick scale inside the condenser pipes reduces the heat transfer efficiency. Also over the years pipes get corroded and require expensive maintenance. Most condensers have a 10 degree rise in water temperature from the inlet to the outlet, so 85 degrees inlet should mean 95 degrees out. This is only under full load, when the water-cooled condenser is only working. At half load, there will be a 5 degree rise in condenser temperature.
